How To Cook

Pre-cooked, just add to soups, stews and stir fries from frozen.

When adding to salads, blanch in boiling water for 1 minutes or microwave for 1-2 minutes.

Try this quick and easy Kinpira gobo, braised burdock root in a sweet and savoury sauce:

  1. Heat 1/2 tbsp sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat. When it’s hot add 80g Yutaka Shredded Burdock and 1/4 thinly sliced carrots. Stir fry until almost tender for roughly 2-3 minutes.
  2. Mix 1/2 tbsp sesame oil, 2 tsp soy sauce, 2 tsp mirin, and 1 1/2 tbsp water. Add to the pan and stir fry until water has evaporated. 
  3. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chilli flakes (optional) and serve.
