Ingredients:
Water, Cabbage, Wheat flour (Gluten), Octopus [Octopus Membranaceus] (Molluscs) (6%), Green onion, Wheat starch, Soybean oil, Chinese yam, Soy sauce [Water, defatted soybeans, Wheat (Gluten), Salt], White granulated sugar, Red ginger [Ginger, Water, Salt, Acidity regulator (Citric acid), Cabbage red pigment], Kelp extract [Kelp, Water, Alcohol, Salt], Flavour enhancer [Monosodium glutamate], Salt.

Storage:
Keep frozen. Once defrosted keep refrigerated and consume within the same day. For the best product quality, immediate consumption after opening recommended. Do not re-freeze.

Ways to prepare:
Remove all packaging. Cook from frozen. All appliances vary. These are guidelines only.
Microwave (800W):
Place the 5 balls on the microwave plate. Heat for 2-5 minutes.
Deep fry:
Deep fry from frozen at 165-170°C for about 5 minutes.
Pan fry:
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a frying pan and add Yutaka Takoyaki Octopus Balls, allowing plenty of space between each piece.
- Sizzle until the balls are slightly browned (1-2 minutes).
- Add 40-50ml water. Cover the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes on a medium heat. Flip the balls from time to time.
- Remove the cover, and cook for one more minute for water to evaporate.
Ensure the food is pipping hot before serving. Serve with your favourite choice of toppings; Yutaka Bonito Flakes, brown sauce and mayonnaise.
Takoyaki octopus balls are round battered dough balls with pieces of octopus, often served with Takoyaki sauce (brown sauce similar to Worcester sauce), mayonnaise, dried bonito flakes, Aonori seaweed and pickled red ginger. Traditionally Takoyaki has been enjoyed the most at street food stalls “yatai” at Japanese festivals, and is one of the most famous street food originated in Osaka.
