Glazed in a thick, sweet caramelised sauce, perfect for sushi or to place, on a bed of hot rice for unadon.

Charcoal Grilled and Seasoned Eel
Ingredients: Eel [Anguilla Rostrata] (Fish) (70%), Soy Sauce (Soybeans, Wheat, Salt, Water), Water, Sugar, Maltose, Fermented Seasoning (Water, Rice, Alcohol), Emulsifier (Hydroxypropyl Starch), Salt, Yeast Extract, Thickener (Xanthan Gum).

Storage: Keep product frozen. Once opened keep refrigerated and consume within 24 hours. Do not re-freeze.

Cooking instructions:
To oven cook:
Remove the frozen eel from the packet and wrap it in foil. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes at 180°. Remove the foil and serve.
To microwave (800W):
Pierce film and place the pack of frozen eel on a microwavable plate. Cook for 2-3 minutes and serve.
To boil:
Place the frozen eel packet into boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove from the packaging and serve.
Simply Serve on top of a bowl of hot steamed rice to create the classic unadon dish. Optionally sprinkle Japanese sansho pepper on top. As an alternative dish, cut some cooked eel and cucumber into 1cm width strips. Roll to make unakyu maki.
