Lemongrass and Prawn Noodle Soup

Aromatic Lemongrass and Prawn noodle Soup.

  • 2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 Shallots
  • 4cm Ginger
  • 15cm Lemongrass
  • 2L  Chicken Stock
  • 300g Cooked King Prawns
  • 180g Yutaka Soba Noodles
  • 2 Tbsp Yutaka Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Yutaka Mirin
  • 1 Tbsp Yutaka Rice Vinegar
  • 1 Tsp Sesame Seeds
  • Chilli and Spring Onion to garnish 


  1.  Heat your sesame oil in a large saucepan, then add your shallots and ginger and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Next pour in the stock and add the lemongrass- bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for a further half an hour.
  3. Add the noodles, soy sauce, mirin, rice vinegar and prawns. Stir well for a couple of minutes before dividing into bowls and garnishing with sesame seeds and spring onion.
