Pork Donburi

Ingredients

  • 4 Pork Chops
  • 4 Cloves of Garlic
  • 4 Iceberg lettuce Leaves
  • 4 Cherry Tomatoes
  • 4 Spring Onions
  • 6 Tbsp Yutaka Soy Sauce
  • 4 Tbsp Yutaka Shaoxing Rice Wine
  • 4 Tbsp Cornstarch 
  • 2.5cm Ginger
  • 4 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Servings of Cooked Japanese Rice
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Chop your garlic, lettuce, tomatoes, spring onions and ginger.
  2. Mix together ginger, rice wine, soy sauce, sugar and sesame oil in a bowl.
  3. Pound your pork chops until flat, season with salt and pepper and dust with cornstarch.
  4. Heat some oil in the pan and add your garlic and pork.
  5. Brown the pork on each side and then add your mixture from earlier. Cover and cook for 7 minutes, regularly spooning the mixture on to the pork throughout.
  6. Once cooked, put your spring onions on the pork and slice it up.
  7. Put your rice into bowls with lettuce on top.
  8. Place your pork in the bowl and garnish with cherry tomatoes. Enjoy!
