Fragrant Striped bass

  • 4 Striped Bass Fillets
  • 1 Tbsp Oil
  • 2cm Ginger (grated)
  • 4 Tbsp Yutaka Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Yutaka Shaoxing Rice Wine
  • 1/2 Tsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tsp Sugar
  • 4 Spring Onions
  • 1 Tbsp Fermented Black Beans
  • 2 Tbsp Coriander


  1. Mix together soy sauce, rice wine, sugar and sesame oul in a pan. Add two inches of water to the pan and bring to the boil.
  2. Chop the spring onions, add to the pan and take off the heat.
  3. Pour the sauce into a bowl and add the fish fillets making sure they are completely covered.
  4. Cook the fish according to packet instructions, basting with the sauce throughout.
  5. Sprinkle the black beans, ginger, coriander and spring onions on top.
