Vegan Tofu Egg Nog

Egg Nog is the essence of Christmas captured in a single glass. The only problem is that the traditional recipe is a cupful of calories so this vegan version makes a guilt-free alternative. Serve hot or chilled and leave the rum out for the kids or non-imbibing family members.

  • 349g (1 pack) Yutaka Silken Tofu
  • 370ml soy milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp soft brown sugar (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ tsp ground turmeric
  • Sprinkle of nutmeg
  • Splash of rum, brandy or bourbon (optional)


  1. Add tofu, soy milk, vanilla extract, soft brown sugar (adjust sweetness), turmeric into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. Chill well in the fridge.
  3. When ready to drink mix in a splash of rum, brandy or bourbon (optional) and pour into glasses.
  4. Sprinkle nutmeg on top.
