Directions
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook according to packet instructions, then mix with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Allow to cool slightly.
- Add soy sauce and a few drops of orange food colouring to the rice, mixing well until evenly coloured.
- Take a piece of cling fims and place one third of the rice into the middle. Wrap and twist the film tightly around the rice to form a small ball. Uncover and set aside. Repeat to make 2 rice balls.
- Cut out small triangles and shapes from nori to create pumpkin faces, then gently press them onto the rice balls.
- Top each "pumpkin" with a small salad leaf to look like a stalk. Serve as a playful Halloween inspired sushi treat.
