Ingredients
- 300g mini chicken breast fillets
- 1 tbsp Yutaka Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Yutaka Mirin
- 4-6 fresh shiso leaves, finely sliced
- 1 spring onion, finely sliced
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp ume plum paste, to serve
- Bamboo skewers, soaked in water
Directions
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, and sesame oil to create a marinade.
- Thread the chicken onto soaked skewers and brush with the marinade.
- Heat a grill, griddle pan, or BBQ to medium-high and lightly oil the surface.
- Cook the chicken skewers for 3-4 minutes on each side, basting with the remaining marinade, until they are golden and cooked through.
- Transfer to a serving plate and scatter with sliced shiso leaves and spring onion.
- Serve hot with a small spoonful of ume plum paste on the side for dipping.
