Okonomiyaki

A popular savoury Japanese pancake that is packed with shredded cabbage, spring onions and other goodness.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs 
  • 1/2 Tbsp Yutaka Soy Sauce
  • 50ml Milk
  • 50g Flour
  • 3 Spring Onions
  • 1 Pak Choi
  • 200g Shredded Cabbage
  • 1/2 Tbsp Rapeseed oil
  • 1 Tbsp Mayonnaise 
  • 1 Chilli 
  • 1/2 Lime
  • Sushi Ginger to serve

Directions

  1. Start by whisking the eggs, flour, and milk.
  2. Pour in half of the spring onions and chilli, along with the pak choi, cabbage and soy sauce.
  3. Pour your mixture into a frying pan then cover and cook over a medium heat for around 8 minutes.
  4. Carefully flip the Okonomiyaki onto another frying pan, then place it back on the heat for an additional 8 minutes.
  5. Whilst your Okonomiyaki is cooking, combine the mayonnaise and lime juice in a bowl.
  6. Gently transfer the Okonomiyaki to a serving plate, and delicately drizzle the lime mayo on top.
  7. Sprinkle over the extra chilli, spring onion, the sushi ginger.
