Doria Rice
Often served as comfort food in Japanese households and restaurants . This hearty, comforting dish features fluffy Japanese rice topped with curry sauce, usually with meat or vegetables in it.

Ingredients
- 150g Yutaka Sushi Rice
- 300ml water
- 200g ground beef
- 1tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 small carrot, diced
- 2 tbsp Yutaka Curry Sauce Mix
- 150ml water
- 50g grated mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh spring onion, chopped (for garnish)
Directions
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear and cook according to instructions. Once cooked, let it rest 10 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
- In a large frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Season with Salt and pepper, then add the chopped onion and diced carrot. Saute for an additional 4-5 minutes until softened.
- Add the curry sauce mix 150ml water to the pan, stirring well. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
- Preheat the oven grill to high. In an ovenpood dish, layer the cooked rice, then pour the curry mixture over the rice. Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly top.
- Place the dish under the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
- Garnish with chopped spring onion and serve hot.
