Shoyu Ramen

One of the most popular Japanese ramens. it's celebrated for being hearty and layered with umami, making it a go to comfort dish for ramen lovers.

Ingredients

  • 200g pork belly slices
  • 1 tbsp Yutaka Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Yutaka Mirin
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 800ml chicken stock
  • 2 tbsp Yutaka Miso Paste
  • 2 portions Yutaka Ramen Noodles
  • 50g bamboo shoots
  • 1 sheet Yutaka Nori, cut into strips
  • 2 spring onions, finely sliced

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix Yutaka Soy Sauce, Mirin and sugar. Add pork belly and marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and cook the belly slices until golden and caramalised. Set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, heat the chicken stock and stir in Yutaka Miso Paste until fully dissolved to create the ramen broth.
  4. Cook the Yutaka Ramen Noodles according to packet instructions. Drain well.
  5. Divide the noodles between two bowls. Pour over the hot miso broth.
  6. Top with the caramaelised pork belly, bamboo shoots, nori strips, and spring onions.
  7. Serve immediately for a ricj, comforting bowl of ramen.
