Pulled Pork Buns

For when you are hosting or just want to make something special for your meal. These Pulled Pork Bao Buns are a real crowd pleaser.

  • 1.5kg Pork Shoulder
  • 1 Tbsp Yutaka Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tsp Chinese 5 Spice
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1cm Ginger (grated)
  • 3 Tbsp Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 300ml Beef Stock
  • 10 Yutaka Bao Buns
  • 120ml Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 Carrots
  • 1/2 Cucumber
  • Coriander, to serve


  1. Chop the onion and add to a large pan with the pork, soy sauce, 5 spice, garlic poweder, ginger, sweet chilli sauce and stock.
  2. Mix together and cook on a low heat for 2-3 hours.
  3. Once it is falling apart easily, shred the pork with a fork.
  4. Shred the cucumber and carrot.
  5. Steam your bao buns and place the pulled pork, hoisin sauce, carrot, cucumber and coriander inside.
