Shiitake Mushrooms with Ponzu dressing

Ingredients

  • 200g fresh shiitake mushrooms, stems removed
  • 2 tbsp Yutaka Yuzu Ponzu
  • 1 tsp Yutaka Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Yutaka Mirin
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 spring onion, finely sliced
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Preheat a grill or griddle pan to medium-high heat. 
  2. In a small bowl, mix yuzu ponzu, soy sauce, mirin, and sesame oil to make the glaze.
  3. Toss the shiitake mushrooms with vegetbale oil.
  4. Grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until tender and lightly charred.
  5. Brush with the glaze and cook for a further minute, allowing the sauce to caramelise sightly.
  6. Transfer to a serving plate and scatter with sliced spring onion.
  7. Serve warm as a side dish or topping for rice.
