Steak Garlic Rice
This recipe features crispy Japanese-style rice topped with tender, seared steak tossed in a smoky sauce. The combination of the rice, buttery garlic rice and the juicy steak creates a succulently satisfying contrast.

Ingredients
- 150g Yutaka Sushi Rice
- 200g sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp Yutaka Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Yutaka Mirin
- 1 tbsp Yutaka Cooking Sake
- 1 tsp butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 spring onion, finely sliced (for garbish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Directions
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear and cook according to instructions. Once cooked, let it rest for 10 minutes before fluffy with a fork.
- In a large frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes heat. Add the sliced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove the garlic slices from the pan and set aside.
- Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper. Add the steak to the same pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned on all sides.
- Add the soy sauce, mirin, and sake to the pan, stirring to coat the steak. Add the butter and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slighlty.
- Serve the garlic steak over the cooked rice, garnished with the crispy garlic slices, sesame seeds and sliced spring onions.
