Ojiya Soup

When you have left over rice and vegetables in the fridge, this recipe is quick and simple meal, as side or starter.

  • 250g Yutaka Premium Akitakomachi Rice
  • 80g Daikon
  • 1 Carrot
  • 5 Shitaake Mushrooms
  • 1 Spring Onion
  • 800ml Stock or Dashi
  • 2 tsp Yutaka Soy Sauce
  • 1 Egg


  1.  Chop the Daikon, Carrot, Shitaake mushrooms and spring onion.
  2. Add the dashi, Daikon and Carrot to a pan and bring to the boil.
  3. Add the Shitaake mushroom, Spring onion, Rice and Soy sauce and mix.
  4. Beat the egg and add in - once this has set, serve and enjoy!
