Japanese-style grilled chicken skewers, perfect for summer and outdoor dinning moments.

Ingredients
- 200g chicken thigh fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 spring onions, cut into 2,5 pieces
- 4-6 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes.
- 2 tbsp Yutaka soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Yutaka mirin
- 1 tbsp Yutaka cooking sake
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
Directions
- In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved and the sauce is slightly thickened. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Thread the chicken pieces and spring onion pieces alternately onto the soaked wooden skewers.
- Brush the chicken skewers with some of the yakitori sauce and let the skewers marinate for about 15-20 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Brush with additional yakitori sauce during the grilling process.
- Arrange the skewers on a plate and drizzle with any remaining yakitori sauce.
