Ingredients

  • 150g sashimi-grade tuna, finely diced
  • 1 small avocado, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tbsp Yutaka Sushi Mayo
  • 1 tsp Yutaka Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Yutaka Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes (optional)
  • 4 sheets Yutaka Nori (seaweed) halved
  • 200g Yutaka Sushi Rice
  • 300 ml water
  • 1 tbsp Yutaka Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to instructions. Once cooked, mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt, then gently fold it into the rice.
  2. Let it cool to room temperature.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the diced tuna with soy sauce, lime juice, and chilli flakes (if using). Set aside.
  4. Lay a halved sheet of nori, shiny side down, on a flat surface. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over one side of the nori, leaving a 2cm border at the top edge.
  5. Arrange a few slices of avocado, red pepper strips, and spoonful seasoned tuna diagonally across the rice. Drizzle with sushi mayo.
  6. Fold the bottom corner of the nori over the filling and roll tightly into a cone shape, sealing the edge with a dab of water. Repeat with the remaining nori and fillings.
  7. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
