Ingredients

  • 400g Ranch Steak
  • 2 Tbsp Yutaka Miso Paste
  • 1 Tbsp Yutaka Cooking Sake
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 1/2 Cucumber
  • 1 Tbsp Yutaka Soy Sauce
  • 1cm Grated Ginger
  • 1 Tbsp Chilli Oil
  • 1 Tsp Sesame Seeds

Directions

  1. Mix together your miso paste, cooking sake, garlic and sugar in a shallow bowl.
  2. Place your steak in the marinade and flip a few times to ensure it is coated. Cover the bowl and leave in the fridge for a minimum of 3 hrs.
  3. Slice your cucumber in half and press each half down firmly with a knife. Next, thinly slice and add to a bowl with ginger, soy sauce, chilli oil and sesame seeds- mix well and place on a plate.
  4. Heat your frying pan on high and once very hot, place your steak in the pan. Sear for 3 minutes on each side or according to packet instructions.
  5. Slice your steak and serve on the bed of smacked cucumber.
